Bouchard hots up in island bottler

Richard Branson is currently hosting the world’s most exclusive — and sexiest — tennis tournament you could ever imagine.

A whole host of tennis players, both past and present, have flocked to the Necker Cup — an elite event located on the billionaire tycoon’s private island in the British Virgin Islands.

Branson’s luxury island is one of the world’s most exclusive resorts, with around 100 staff catering for up to 34 guests.

It costs ,000 a night to stay there — or nothing if you are a showbiz pal of Sir Richard’s.

Harry Styles, Mariah Carey, Ronnie Wood and Barack Obama have all been guests on Necker Island.

And the Virgin kingpin has never hidden his love of tennis.

His tournament gives amateur players a chance to compete with the world’s best.

Sixteen professionals are paired up with 16 amateur teams to play in the competitive and fun-spirited event.

Each team has one pro and at least two amateurs — and has the chance to reach the Necker Cup Finals held on the last day.

But this exotic experience isn’t just about the tennis.

Those who take part get to enjoy a number of activities on Branson’s luxurious Caribbean Island.

This year, the stunning Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, a former Wimbledon finalist, is one of the pros taking part.

The tennis ace, 24, is a fan favourite and has been exploring the beaches, lapping up the sunshine and she has even had the chance to fly a sea plane.

And the blonde stunner has been keeping her 1.8 million followers up to date with her trip.

As well as great fun on the court, participants get to engage in typical Caribbean activities — such as paddle boarding, snorkelling and wake boarding.

Those attending also get to relax and have a drink after long days on the court.

Necker Island was first purchased by Branson in 1978.

The idyllic spot has endured numerous natural disasters over the years — including an electrical fire in 2011 in which Kate Winslet helped Branson’s then 90-year-old mother.

This year it has reopened for the first time since the devastation of Hurricane Irma.
